Mendocino County, Ca – The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office has issued an urgent Nixle alert, warning residents to exercise heightened situational awareness due to an incoming storm with the potential for dry lightning. The alert also indicates an increased risk of wildfires due to the lightning patterns associated with the current weather system.

MCSO is working closely with firefighting agencies and emergency responders to monitor the situation and respond to potential incidents. “Your safety is our priority, and we ask for your cooperation and vigilance during this period of heightened fire risk.”
