A fire incident has been reported in the vicinity of Hwy 128 and Sink Rd in Cloverdale, CA. Here are the latest updates on the ongoing situation:

  • 4:05 PM: A vegetation fire was reported with visible smoke captured on surveillance cameras. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene.
  • 4:06 PM: The fire fully involved a structure and spread to approximately half an acre of adjacent vegetation. The fire is moving uphill at a slow rate of spread.
  • 4:17 PM: The fire expanded to an estimated 2-3 acres, burning in an area with heavy fuels and moving uphill with some wind.
  • 4:28 PM: The fire has grown to approximately 5 acres with a moderate rate of spread. Firefighting teams have requested an additional tanker, bringing the total to 4, and initiated the deployment of both type 1 helitankers, totaling 4 helicopters. (Watch Duty)
