A Day of Parade, BBQ, and Music Awaits at the Historic Black Bart Day Parade

In a vibrant celebration of Independence Day, the 61st annual Black Bart Day Parade is set to paint Redwood Valley in shades of red, white, and blue. This cherished tradition will take place this year, promising a day filled with community spirit, entertainment, and delicious food. The event, which has become a cornerstone of community engagement, will begin at 11 AM and conclude at 1 PM.

Participants in the parade, including local organizations such as North American Organics and The Redwood Valley Grange, will showcase the diverse interests and talents of the Redwood Valley community, all while embracing the patriotic theme.

Following the parade, attendees can look forward to a tri-tip and chicken BBQ at the arena, open to the public. Entry is free for parade participants, while adults are asked to contribute $10. Adding to the festive atmosphere, the band Severance will provide musical entertainment.

The parade route will run from the Redwood Riders Arena to the Lions Field Park in Redwood Valley. To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, the road will be closed between Road B to Road E for the duration of the parade. However, Roads B and E will remain open. Community members who are not participating in the parade are encouraged to line the streets along the parade route in support of the participants, adding to the sea of red, white, and blue.
