Mendocino County Toys for Tots Kicks Off the Holiday Season with Fundraiser and Community Support Is Ukiah Under Surveillance?

The community health event will offer free physicals for student-athletes, free school supplies, and health education for families.

Ukiah, CA – Adventist Health Ukiah Valley is delighted to announce the return of a much-needed community service aimed at getting students ready to play and learn for the new school year. This year’s Back to School Fair, scheduled for Saturday, July 29, will provide free sports physicals for student-athletes and host a wealth of educational resources for parents.

Understanding the importance of comprehensive health assessments for young athletes, the hospital’s experienced physicians will conduct free sports physicals on a first-come-first-serve basis. Parents are advised to bring any required paperwork from the school and to provide parental consent for their child’s physical examination.

Alongside the health screenings, Adventist Health’s Back to School Fair will be handing out free backpacks and school supplies. These will be available while supplies last, ensuring students start the academic year with the necessary tools to succeed.

The event also promises a wealth of health assessments beyond the sports physicals, as well as informational booths featuring resources for both students and families.

The fair is planned in shifts according to the student’s age groups. Elementary school students are scheduled from 8 am – 10 am, followed by middle school students from 9 am – 11 am. High school students should attend between 10 am – 12 pm, and college students from 12 pm – 1 pm.

The event will take place at Adventist Health Ukiah Valley, 260 Hospital Drive, Suite 103, Ukiah, CA. Adventist Health extends its heartfelt invitation to all families in the community to join them on this day dedicated to ensuring a healthy, happy start to the academic year.
