ORIGINAL STORY
Westport, Ca – A brush fire, named the “Pelican Fire,” erupted at approximately 5:42 PM this evening in the vicinity of the 31448 block of Highway 1, near the Newport Inn. Emergency services have swiftly mobilized to contain the blaze.
The Pelican Fire has engulfed an estimated 1/4 to 1/2 acre, demonstrating a moderate rate of spread. The situation remains fluid, and there is a potential for the fire to encompass 3 to 4 acres Per IC.
Air Attack and Tankers have been canceled due to low visibility
