Air Attack 110, Tankers 91, and 96 released from the fire. (both tankers released loaded)

UPDATE: 4:26 PM

The Concow Fire in Covelo, California has grown to an estimated 5 acres, with two separate spot fires identified. The current response includes 7 engines, 2 hand crews, 2 chief officers, 2 dozers, 1 air attack unit, 2 air tankers, and 1 helicopter, totaling 72 personnel. These resources are from various agencies including the Covelo Fire Protection District, the California National Guard, and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). We’ll continue to provide updates as the situation develops.

Air Attack reports 3 acres, slow rate of spread, 2 spot fire in the area; Continuing all incoming resources.

Deputies starting to go Door-to-door in the Wylacki Court to advise residents about “The” fire. Possibility of evacuation warnings.


ORIGINAL POST:

Covelo, Ca – A small wildland fire (Concow Fire) has started in Round Valley and has burned 2-3 acres According to Authorities. At 2:56 PM The IC has requested 3 additional type 3 engines, 1 water tender and 1 crew to the scene. The fire has “crept” to the roadway.

The fire was initially reported around 2:40 PM at the Intersection of Concow Boulevard and Foothill Boulevard.

Additional resources (Air attack) has been requested to help combat the fire.

As more information becomes available, we will provide updates on the situation.
