At 8:11 PM on July 9, 2023, authorities were alerted to a head-on traffic collision on Pine Ridge Road at its intersection with Low Gap Road in Ukiah. An immediate traffic advisory was issued in response to the incident.
Reports from the Ridge IC scene identified two vehicles involved in the crash. One of the accident victims was transported to the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), and another remained at the collision site.
The reporting party (RP), who had reached the Sheriff’s Office at Low Gap Road by 8:14 PM, informed authorities about injuries to her arm and leg. The RP also mentioned that she left her daughter at the accident scene.
In response to the situation, authorities requested medical assistance at both the MCSO and the crash site. At 8:26 PM, officers on the scene confirmed the head-on collision involving two vehicles, with a passenger from one vehicle and the driver from the other still present at the location.
Authorities have since cancelled some resources due to non-life-threatening injuries at the scene. The victim at the MCSO was transported to a hospital for further treatment.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution in the area and to comply with all traffic advisory instructions.
