Lakeport, Ca – a small wildfire erupted earlier this morning at 11:17 a.m. near the intersection of Scotts Valley Road and Hendricks Road in Lakeport, California. Firefighters were immediately dispatched to the scene, which has affected approximately two acres of a nearby field.

Upon arrival the fire had a slow rate of spread, offering a glimmer of hope for swift containment.

Fire personnel assessed the situation and deemed it necessary to call for one additional engine. However, as they continued their diligent efforts, it was determined that the other resources still en route could be canceled due to the manageable situation on the ground.

Although the cause of the wildfire has not yet been officially determined, the prevailing dry conditions in the region may have contributed to its spread. Fire officials are urging local residents to remain vigilant and exercise caution in their surroundings to prevent further incidents.

As of 11:35 a.m IC reports “Fire is Contained, resources working on mop up”
