26-year-old Abimael Serna Castillo held with bail set at $37,500


Abimael Serna Castillo, a 26-year-old resident of Potter Valley, was booked on multiple charges at the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office on July 12, 2023.

The charges against Castillo are serious and encompass a variety of offences. Notably, he faces felony charges for carrying a loaded firearm and being a prohibited person in possession of a loaded firearm.

Moreover, the array of misdemeanor charges against Castillo include forging or altering vehicle registration, transporting or giving marijuana to someone over the age of 18, willful cruelty to a child, battery against a person with whom he had a dating, engagement, marriage, or domestic relationship, and violation of a protective order.

Castillo, presently classified as a non-sentenced prisoner, has his total bond amount set at $37,500.
